Hon Nicola Grigg, Minister for Women, is seeking applications for membership of the National Advisory Council on the Employment of Women (NACEW).
NACEW’s purpose is to provide advice to the Minister for Women on employment issues for women and assist the Minister and government to plan and deliver tangible results for New Zealand women by improving their employment outcomes.
Members are selected based on their individual skills, expertise and networks, with the aim of providing a range of perspectives on current and emerging issues on the employment of women.
Skills and expertise could include:
- strategic thinking, a track record of results, and a focus on outcomes
- well-developed experience in board or committee work
- connections and networks related to the employment of women; and demonstrated judgement and ability to work with and influence a range of people
- knowledge of mātauranga Māori, te ao Māori values and Te Tiriti of Waitangi
- ability to bring a specific perspective (for example Māori, Pacific, ethnic, rural, older, younger, disability, sole parent).
We are seeking candidates with diverse experience and backgrounds.
NACEW members are remunerated according to the Cabinet Fees Framework (Group 4 Level 2).
