“I post, then ghost. I’ve learned to rise above the hurt.”

Throughout her career as a broadcaster, media personality, and writer, Polly Gillespie has been trolled for her appearance, beliefs, and support of social issues – and some of the most brutal comments came from other women.

This has a serious impact on her personal and professional life, and began to impact her whānau.

Now, Polly has learned to “post, then ghost” and share what matters to her and then walk away from the comments.

Polly now works as a therapist and counsellor – she says it’s her way to be part of the solution.
