Our "Long-term Insights Briefing (LTIB) 2026: Free to Lead: Tackling the effects of online harm on the pipeline of future women leaders" has now been tabled in the House and published on our website.
The LTIB focuses on how online harm is affecting women in leadership and the pipeline of future women leaders. It brings together research, engagement, lived experience and future-focused analysis to build our understanding of the long-term impacts of online harm. It highlights risks to women’s participation and leadership, and where change may be needed across the system.
A key feature of this briefing is the strong voice of young women. Their experiences show how online harm is already shaping participation and the choices young women are making about leadership and public life.
Online harm is an emerging and complex long-term issue and there is still much to learn about its impacts over time. This briefing helps build that understanding and provides a platform for further work across government, communities, researchers, platforms and civil society.
