About the speaker
Franceska Banga ONZM is an experienced governance leader and former Chief Executive with a distinguished career across the public, health, economic development, and technology sectors.
Franceska was the founding Chief Executive of the New Zealand Venture Investment Fund (now NZ Growth Capital Partners), a role she held for 15 years. She later transitioned into governance roles, serving on boards including Cure Kids, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, Continuity Capital, and The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ. Prior to this, she held senior leadership positions at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, The Treasury, and the Ministry of Health.
In 2016, Franceska experienced a life-changing health setback that brought her career to an unexpected pause. During her recovery, she reassessed what success meant to her and renewed her sense of purpose, including a strong focus on mentoring and supporting women to navigate their own leadership journeys.
