The Ministry for Women wants to better understand how organisations across New Zealand are measuring and responding to pay gaps in their workplaces.
To help build this picture, we commissioned Strategic Pay Limited to survey organisations about their experiences, challenges and current practices. The research explores:
- how organisations collect employee data
- whether they calculate and take action on gender, ethnicity, and disability pay gaps
- awareness and use of the Ministry for Women’s Gender Pay Gap Toolkit
- barriers to action, and how experiences differ across sectors, industries, and organisation sizes.
This pulse check builds on our inaugural 2025 survey, helping us track progress and identify where further support may be needed.
