A literature scan commissioned by Manatū Wāhine Ministry for Women to inform discussion of international best practice about preventing and responding to workplace sexual harassment. 

The Ministry developed a 2018-2020 Gender Pay Action Plan. This was updated in 2020 and 2021.  

The Ministry for Women provided input into the inquiry on the gendered implications of mental health and addiction. In it we noted: that gender-based violence can have a large impact on women’s mental health; that this violence is a major issue in New Zealand; that it is important that mental health and addiction systems and services are gender-responsive, and work for the women and girls who need them most. This includes women and girls facing multiple barriers to accessing support; and that some groups of women, such as Māori and Pacific women, and women prisoners, may be disproportionately affected by mental health issues and addictions and may require targeted support and services delivered in a gender-responsive and culturally-appropriate ways.

Mostly-NEET through 2015: Integrated data insights by motherhood status​ was presented at the​​​​​​ 2018 Labour Employment and Work conference. It uses integrated administrative data to look at those who are long-term not in education, employment, or training (NEET). Providing information and evidence on women who are NEET ensures the labour market and training needs are included in policy planning and design.

The fund’s projects commemorate the 125th anniversary of universal suffrage in New Zealand and come from $300,000 funding in Budget 2018.

The Government has committed to eliminating the gender pay gap within the public service, with substantial progress within this parliamentary term.
